Our Road to … Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party Vol. 1

MNSSHP

Going to a Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party has been on my Disney bucket list for years. Our family decided that we would try to take our yearly Disney World vacation at a different time of the year than we had normally done… summer. This year we took a vacation to Florida during our Spring break week in April and spent 3 nights at Disney World and 4 nights at St. Pete’s Beach. We also decided that we would try to book another Disney World vacation for the fall. We wanted to try some new adventures at Disney World that we couldn’t experience during the summer months. In April we were able to experience the flower and garden festival and Eggstravaganza at EPCOT, meeting the Easter bunnies, and one more Wishes Fireworks night at the Magic Kingdom. Those were amazing experiences that we will cherish forever, but what I am really excited for

In April we were able to experience the flower and garden festival and Eggstravaganza at EPCOT, meeting the Easter bunnies, and one more Wishes Fireworks night at the Magic Kingdom. Those were amazing experiences that we will cherish forever, but what I am really excited for is our fall trip this year in October.

Fall is one of my favorite times of year that must always include: campfires, festivals, festive decorations, costumes, and trick-or-treating. What a better way to do all of those things in one place- Disney World. For our fall trip, I have booked our resort stay at the Fort Wilderness Cabins. Mimi will be joining us for this trip and we are so excited that she is coming, with that being said we needed more space and the Cabins had just that. We will also be renting a golf cart to help us get around the Fort better, as well as, enjoying the Chip n’ Dale campfire sing-a-long and all of the decorations that a lot of the campers are notorious for during this time of year.

This week the Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party tickets went on sale. If you are not familiar with this party it is a separate special event ticket that must be purchased on top of your theme park tickets. This special event party starts at 7 pm and ends at 12 am, however, you are able to enter the Magic Kingdom at 4 pm. I was able to purchase our party tickets with no problems and I am so excited for this event. You are able to experience special characters, trick-or-treating, festive decorations, wearing costumes, a special parade, and fireworks. All of these things combined together makes for one special event!

This series is going to be an ongoing blog about Our Road to… Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and will include our thoughts and feelings about planning and preparing for this exciting event. There are so many things I can’t wait to do… making our costumes, planning our day before and during the event, and reading/ watching other’s MNSSHP trip reports.

I hope that Everyone has a Wonderful Disney Family Day!
